The recent sale of our house in Harrington, NSW has really emphasized how important the selection of your local real estate agent is. After talking to the three local agents, we were leaning toward a particular one when Geoff Holdsworth of Professionals called me to discuss our decision. I have know Geoff for four years and he highlighted the fact that they had a prominent location near the local IGA, were open seven days a week and always had someone present to discuss a sale or purchase or conduct a showing. He also pointed out that we were in a seller’s market in Harrington and that we should not short change what we expected to get for the sale of our place.
Geoff suggested we go with a sale price considerably higher than the other agents we spoke to and we are so grateful that we took his advice. Without his many years of sales experience and knowledge of the local market, we would have sold at a considerably lower price. Geoff and the Principal Joan Parsons of Professionals handled the sale efficiently and coordinated with out solicitor to ensure a quick settlement and processing of necessary paperwork.

Joan reminds me of a little duck – happy, laid-back and composed on the outside but always paddling madly beneath the water! She isn’t one of those agents who is contacting you incessantly with unnecessary fluff and detail … rather, she just quietly goes about the business of selling your property for you. The market went quiet for a time immediately after I initially listed my property but I knew that Joan was doing all she could and she eventually secured an excellent price for me. Joan has a happy and polite disposition, she was always punctual, true to her word in getting back to me, whether she was officially at work or not, professional at all times, and she provided honest feedback whenever I requested it. Mr Holdsworth and all his staff were extremely friendly, helpful and professional during the period we were trying to sell this property. They gave suggestions of ways to improve the chances of selling the property and despite a glut of property in the area continued to push the property whenever possible.
